Bottega Veneta presented there 2017 spring/summer collection yesterday and I loved the old school look they brought to the show. Tomas Maier created a collection that reminded me of the 1930’s and 40’s with the long skirts and khaki pants that were very wide and loose fitting. What I also loved was the leather jackets and leather trench coats that were paired with each look. The 2017 collection from Bottega was very chic yet elegant with a bit of modern twist. One surprise that Tomas had in his show was Lauren Hutton. Hutton has been working the runway since the ’60s, though these days you’re more likely to see her in the front row during fashion month. She’s been on hiatus since Tom Ford’s return show in 2011, and her return today was particularly triumphant: She closed the show arm in arm with Gigi Hadid. This is by far my favorite collection for 2017 and I can’t wait to see ladies strut the streets in this old time classic wear.
